1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using ClauseVault, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.
2. Description of Service
ClauseVault is a contract reference tool that allows users to upload contract PDFs, extract key terms using AI, tag terms by situation, and search across contracts. ClauseVault is not a legal service and does not provide legal advice.
3. User Accounts
You must create an account to use ClauseVault. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
4. User Content
You retain ownership of all contracts and content you upload to ClauseVault. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to:
- Store your files securely
- Process your files to extract terms using AI
- Display your content back to you
We do not share your content with third parties except as required to provide the service (such as AI processing).
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Upload content you do not have the right to upload
- Use the service for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service
- Interfere with or disrupt the service
- Resell or redistribute the service without permission
6. Payment and Refunds
ClauseVault offers a free tier (2 contracts) and a paid tier ($19 one-time payment for unlimited contracts).
Payments are processed through Stripe. Refunds may be requested within 30 days of purchase if you are unsatisfied with the service.
7. AI Processing Disclaimer
ClauseVault uses AI to extract terms from contracts. While we strive for accuracy, AI extraction may not be perfect. You should always verify extracted terms against the original contract document. ClauseVault is not responsible for any errors in AI extraction.
8. No Legal Advice
ClauseVault is a tool for organizing and referencing your own contracts. It does not provide legal advice, legal opinions, or legal recommendations. For legal matters, consult a qualified attorney.
9. Limitation of Liability
ClauseVault is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
11. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be deleted according to our privacy policy.
